From the forthcoming EP "Hymns From an Agorist" (vinyl and CD avail February 2027). Blending raw, blues-soaked rock ’n’ roll, Americana roots/folk storytelling, and a rough-edged unpolished sound, GSTYPLX music takes an irreverent look at modern culture, power, hypocrisy, and the absurdities of everyday life.

With the aggressive encroachment of modern life closing in on us all, the desire to leave the struggle of mainstream chaos is becoming more attractive to the average individual. "Alone" by GSTYPLX takes the classic "get off my lawn" sentiment of our grandparents and soaks it in the cesspool of today. The decision to record this song with humans who've actually spent time "outside" metropolitan life was absolutely intentional. Hopefully you can smell the campfire smoke and the sovereignty.

"A BYSYANDER'S PAIN "
A first-person perspective rant aimed at those whose entire daily existence is shaped and formed by what their screens are feeding to them. Purposely condescending in tone and attitude, "A Bystander's Pain" uses brutal honesty in an attempt to ask the listener to own the pain they inflict upon themselves by consuming mainstream media, rather than projecting it onto the rest of us. A brutal and pompous attack on the ocean of narcissism that is social media and screen addiction.

It's a term and expression that we all know. And despite what some overly righteous will tell you... when not used as a verb, it simply means "No!". And this world could use a whole lot more humans who aren't afraid to simply say "No" to the powers-that-shouldn't-be. Crafted in pure garage-rock glory, "Fuck" by GSTYPLX is an anthem for those of us who weren't born with enough middle fingers.
